Unity

“Holy Father, keep through Your name those whom You have given Me , that they may be one as We are one.”  - John 17:11

Matthew 6 is typically referred to as “The Lord’s Prayer.”  This is the passage of scripture where Jesus teaches His disciples how to pray, but the prayer of the Lord is found in John 17.  It is here that He asks the Father to watch over and protect His disciples, and it is here that Christ prays for unity in the church.  Christ told His disciples that the world would be watching, and would know the level of their commitment to Him based upon their love for one another, based upon their unity.  If ever there was a time for the church to be working in unity, it is now!
